Save Africa’s vulnerable big cats - the Cheetahs - by supporting ethical animal sanctuaries and nature reserves like Ashia Cheetah Conservation and Kuzuko. Actxplorer's Impact Travelogue series takes you on a virtual journey to discover sustainable, community-based ecotourism in South Africa.
Meet the cheetahs live as they go about the Kuzuko reserve, and learn about Wilding & Release programs and how you can play a part in protecting wildlife. At Ashia, see the cheetahs being rehabilitated to prepare them for release.
Interviews with key personnel of Ashia and Kuzuko will give you greater insight into their impact, and how you can support them too.
Ashia was founded in 2016 to help to prevent the further decline of the cheetah population and to increase the gene pool, Ashia is successfully returning captive born cheetahs into the protected wild of South African game reserves and national parks.
Kuzuko is a world class game lodge and reserve that creates an interdependent relationship between conservation, job creation and social transformation. Their foundation promotes job creation, access to health care, and education to the local communities who suffer under unemployment and poverty in the area. They employ and train staff from the local communities and support the Umzi Wethu training programme.

2045 - 2115: Catch the Cheetahs LIVE at Kuzuko reserve. See the cheetahs in the wild as the ranger takes you up close and personal.
2115 - 2130: Empowering the poor with Silulo Technologies. Hear from the CEO on how they prepare young South Africans by providing them with IT training and entrepreneurship.
2130 - 2145: Final thoughts and how you can continue to support social impart initiatives and animal conservation.
